Overview

The Team Challenge is built around a flexible looped course, allowing you to customize the experience to suit your group. Choose a single loop for a shorter adventure or combine multiple loops for a greater challenge. Routes range from beginner-friendly to more demanding, with advanced options featuring greater elevation gain, longer distances, and sections of off-trail navigation.

No matter which route you choose, your team will be supported by Uplift's experienced staff throughout the experience.

Bring together colleagues, friends, or family to test your teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Or, add a little friendly competition by challenging another group to see who can work together most effectively.

Build Stronger Teams Through Adventure

Step outside the boardroom and into an experience that challenges teams to communicate, collaborate, and solve problems together in a completely different environment.

The Uplift Team Challenge is a half-day outdoor adventure set in the South Canadian Rockies where teams compete in a series of navigation, problem-solving, and decision-making challenges. This experience strengthens communication, leadership, and teamwork, giving employees a chance to work together toward a common goal while enjoying the natural beauty of the South Canadian Rockies.

Led by certified outdoor professionals, the challenge combines friendly competition, strategic thinking, and real-time collaboration to create an engaging, memorable experience.

What Your Team Will Experience

  • The Relay: Teams begin with a high-energy relay that encourages communication, coordination, and collective problem-solving while unlocking the resources needed for the next phase of the challenge.
  • Navigation Challenge: Using topographic maps, GPS coordinates, and teamwork, participants must navigate to a series of checkpoints throughout the wilderness. Success depends on planning, communication, and shared decision-making.
  • Critical Thinking: At each checkpoint, teams work together to solve riddles, interpret clues, and identify local landmarks. These challenges encourage critical thinking, adaptability, and collaboration under pressure.
  • The Score: Teams earn points for completing challenges, solving clues, and managing their time effectively. The winning team is determined not only by speed but by how well they communicate, strategize, and work together throughout the experience.

  • Encourage collaboration across departments

POLICIES

Please review our FAQs page for additional details, including our cancellation and weather policies. These policies are particularly important for our Wilderness First Aid courses, as they involve significant facilitation costs and require substantial preparation and commitment in advance of the course start date.

If Uplift Adventures cancels an activity or course due to low registration, weather, or something unforeseen, then we will first try to reschedule and if this is not possible then we will issue a full refund. Please see below for our Weather Cancellation Policy. Uplift Adventures is not responsible for expenses incurred by participants in preparing for a cancelled trip or course (for example, plane tickets, hotel fees, or other travel plans associated with this trip or course).

One Day Activities, this does not include courses, but includes one day or less summer and winter tours and trips.

If the guest has to reschedule there is no cost if this is done more than 7 days in advance of the trip date. If the reschedule is done less than 7 days of the trip, then there will be a $25 administration fee added to the booking. A week from your trip, we have already arranged guide schedules and have done a lot of the pre-planning for your trip to succeed.

If a cancellation is done less than 48hrs for non-group bookings, no refund will be issued. If a cancellation is done less than 7 days for group bookings (4 people or more), no refund will be issued. For all other cancellations, a partial refund will be given. When the cancellation occurs within enough notice for a partial refund, then we refund minus a $25 administration fee per booking, plus a processing fee of 2.9% + 30 cents per booking. There are several behind-the-scenes fees that go into operating, including administration costs and service fees that we pay when a booking is cancelled. This administration and processing fee covers this cost.
