Overview
A boulder is a large rock that may have been moved by a glacier or fallen from the peaks above. A boulder field is several large rocks. It might sound like we are taking you to the Frank Slide, but not even close. We are taking you to a beautiful and remote alpine lake along the Great Continental Divide and within the lake several boulders are scattered amongst a stunning mountain-scape. To get here, you have some creek crossing and will go up and down several times while breathing in this remote mountain range.
This backpacking trip is designed for an intermediate to advanced backpacker. We do not recommend this for beginners. We can offer an easier option for private bookings if the distance appears too daunting.
Highlights:
Remote alpine lake with stunning views
Single-track hiking trails away from the crowds
